Basketball Games vs. Hull-Daisetta

Due to the incident that occurred at the basketball game between Burkeville and Hull-Daisetta last year, this year’s games versus Hull-Daisetta will have some major changes associated with them.  These stipulations are being enforced by the schools per the consequences that were handed down by the University Interscholastic League following the incident at Hull-Daisetta in 2025.   The girls game at Burkeville scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2025 will be played in a normal fashion.  This will be a varsity game only with the game set to begin at 6:00.  However, the games at Hull-Daisetta on Friday, January 23, 2026 and the games at Burkeville scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, 2026 will follow a different format.   There will be no JV games played at Hull-Daisetta on Friday, January 23, 2026.  The girls game, set to begin at 6:00, will be played as normal with fans allowed in the gymnasium.  Following the girls game, the gym will be cleared, and the boys game will be played with only players, coaches, administrators, and officials in the gym.  On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, there are two games to be played in Burkeville.  The JV boys game is set to begin at 4:30, with the varsity boys game to follow.  These games will be played with no fans allowed.  Only players, coaches, administrators, and officials will be in attendance.
