COMMUNITY INFORMATION

Burkeville is nestled among the tall pines of Northern Newton County. Burkeville is located at the intersection of State Highway 63E and US Highway 87 N. Toledo Bend provides fishing, hiking, and recreation on the Northern border with Sabine County. The Burkeville area is truly a Sportsman Paradise with the largest man made lake in Texas (Toledo) connected with Lake Sam Rayburn just 20 miles to the west and connected by Highway 255. Burkeville is a community of ethnic diversity supported by satellite communities of Toledo Village, Jamestown, Shankleville, Wiergate, Farrsville, and Mayflower.

Asbestos Management Plan

The district works diligently to maintain compliance with federal and state law governing asbestos in school buildings. A copy of the district's Asbestos Management Plan is available in the Maintenance and Operations Office.
