Superintendent Ann Gardner Knows Greatness Will Return to Burkeville ISD

Burkeville ISD will be under the leadership of Superintendent Ann Gardner starting the 2019-2020 school year. Mrs. Gardner has over 35 years of experience in education, and she brings a passion for not only Burkeville students but also the Burkeville CommUNITY. She has worked in Burkeville ISD since 2017 as the Chief Academic Officer, and she has experience as a district administrator in Splendora ISD and Humble ISD. All the experience she has gained over the years will help to make Burkeville great again.

“Education has been around since the beginning of time, but it is constantly evolving with new, innovative programs, ideals, and trends. But, the philosophy behind education is clear. It is to provide a learning environment for all students academically, socially, and emotionally. As the Superintendent of Burkeville ISD, it is my job to lead by example with passion and commitment not only for our students but also for our CommUNITY. As an administrator, I truly believe ‘It takes a village to raise a child.’ Our Mustang CommUNITY will need to work together to bring greatness back to Burkeville ISD. We have new leaders in our athletic program, new leaders on our campus, and new leaders in our classrooms. The combination of our new staff and veteran staff along with CommUNITY support will no doubt provide outstanding outcomes for our district and CommUNITY. We will be great again because we all bleed blue through and through.”
