College Entrance Tests

ASVAB

The ASVAB will be given on September 28th to Juniors and any interested Seniors. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students.

SAT Testing

The SAT will be given October 12th for Seniors and any interested Juniors. Click the link below to access free SAT prep materials. You will have to make a free account. The SAT evaluate the reading, writing and math skills you'll need in college. Some colleges use scores to place students in classes that are at the right level for them. Scores can also be used to identify students who may benefit from specific advisors or academic support in college.

PSAT Testing

The PSAT will be given October 12th for Juniors and any interested Sophomores. The Preliminary SAT, also known as the PSAT/NMSQT® (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test), is a practice version of the SAT exam.

TSI Testing

Testing Dates and Times for the TSI will be posted here. What Is the TSI Assessment? The TSI Assessment (TSIA) is part of the Texas Success Initiative program designed to help your college or university determine if you are ready for college-level course work in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics.

ACT Testing

Testing Dates and Times for the ACT will be March 7, 2023. The ACT and SAT are the two standardized tests accepted by most colleges and universities for admissions purposes. The exam has a multiple choice section covering math, English, reading, and science. It also has an optional writing test in which examinees plan and write a short essay.
